Why is Maths so boring?

Have you ever thought, why is maths so boring?

Let us discuss about it in this post.

Different minds define maths in their own perspective. But for me maths is not just a subject, it is an ocean of numbers, structures, innovations, discoveries, etc. 

I don't know much about schools in other countries, but in most of the schools in India the education is very much restricted to the text books. Most of the teachers and students don't even try to learn out of the box or to be exact out of the books (text books). For example:


From beginning of school life itself a student is always taught,
A is for Apple   
B is for Ball
C is for Cat
and so on

No one teaches
A can also be for Alien 
B can also be for Battery
C can also be for Computer   

What I mean to say is, there is no scope for creativity and innovation.

Human mind doesn't find something interesting if it is repetitive and not interactive. The lack of interactive classes and the same repetitive syllabus leads to a state where in any human being would find the subject boring, even if it is very interesting. The same goes with maths and thus maths is found boring, but it isn't.

As discussed in my previous post maths can be easy, interesting and fun for learning if you can connect it with your daily life and use maths to find solutions to practical problems. This is applicable to people of all ages, especially to school going kids.
